Andy later died after a fragmentation grenade detonated at his feet. The grenade was of the model that was standard issue to the Blue Moon military – however, the forces under Andy's command at the time were engaged in a battle with Black Hole soldiers, with no Blue Moon troops reported to be anywhere near the area. All soldiers interviewed testified that they had not seen who had thrown the grenade. Military investigators attached to the case eventually submitted a report saying that the Black Hole forces had somehow obtained a small amount of Blue Moon weaponry, and the case was closed.
