A TikToker who's all about making hot takes made a take that was perhaps a little too hot recently, and now, users are calling for her to be banned from the platform.
Her name is "Hot Take Melody" (or @hot_take_melody), and recently, she put out a video sharing her opinion on the reported increase in ICE raids under President Donald Trump in the U.S. that received massive backlash from numerous users across social media.

Who Is Hot Take Melody And Why Is She Getting Canceled?
Hot Take Melody is a small TikToker with around 4,700 followers on her current account. Purportedly, she's had several accounts over the years, which have been deleted for unknown reasons. Not much is known about Melody besides this, as her presence online was mostly unknown until recently.
On or around January 27th, 2025, Melody posted a video in which she offered her opinion on the deportations of Mexican people in the United States, clearly stating that she doesn't care if families are separated due to deportations. She calls these people "subhuman" and says she actually "finds it hilarious" when it happens.
Then, she compared the separation of families to those arrested in the January 6th storming of the capital, saying they were also separated from their families. Shortly after the video was posted, it went viral and received major backlash.

How Did Social Media Respond To Hot Take Melody's Video?
Hot Take Melody's video was not taken lightly by many. Soon after it was posted, it went viral on X / Twitter, Instagram and TikTok thanks to user @tizzyent, a commentary video creator with millions of followers across platforms.
He posted a video about how Melody already had him blocked before he knew who she was, then proceeded to tear apart her opinion and criticize her take.
While she gained a small amount of support from some X users, Hot Take Melody largely received backlash as the video went viral in recent days.
This led to her privatizing her TikTok page, which remains private at the time of publishing this article. Melody has not come out of hiding to respond to the criticism, and it is unclear if she will.
