Anime tropes have really warped what constitutes as a "hag", haven't they?

It used to mean a woman that is genuinely old ugly and crusty looking, now it just means any woman above like age 25, whether they're conventionally attractive or not

On one hand it's kind of silly, but on the other that's just how slang and language in general works.

"Christmas Cake" has been a thing in Japan for a long time, but never got real traction in the West. Hag stepped up to the plate and here we are.
