Hasbro, the maker of the My Little Pony franchise, also sends representatives to this conference. Purple Tinker claims that several months ago, a handful of BronyCon staffers split from the group after she refused to give them "logistical and financial control" over the event. One post on the bronies forum from May 2012 states that Purple Tinker has a grudge against Canterlot Gardens, as it was primarily established by ex BronyCon staffers that forced her out of her administrative role at BronyCon. I have no idea what's really going on because this article is completely one-sided.
They don't even mention an attempt to contact any of the people she's accusing.
This whole thing is one big "She-said, they-were-assumed-to-say."

@DeadParrot222: I couldn't agree more. Partially because, by most accounts, Purple Tinker is an utter attention whore – but even if she was absolutely correct and justified, that still wouldn't excuse the one-sided article.

And it's not just that it's one-sided, either. It's that the article treats this thing as some sort of scandal. What if some random person said something like "Tara Strong is using MLP to pull children into a homosexual cult", or some other accusation as baseless as Tinker's? Would that constitute a "scandal ripping through the brony community"?

In other words, Ms. Roy: your standards of journalism are bad, and you should feel bad. Very bad.
