I've Got Sixpence (Rolling Home)

Notes

I'm sorry Americans. I've deliberately tried to pick obscure/unknown songs for this batch of uploads. Because of this, "Blood upon the Risers" gets excluded because my little brother sings it whilst he boils potatoes, which considering he's under 20, lives in rural England and has minimal interest in history beyond tanks means that it is not an uncommon song.

I know, I know, I checked the rule book multiple times, but it is there. It's right there on page 23, under the rule about not wearing purple pants on Thursdays.

Despite what the title of the YouTube video says, this is an American adaptation of an old British WW1 song which has it's roots based in an earlier version known as "The Jolly Shilling". The words and music of this adaptation was done by Box, Cox, and Hall

This music in this video was remastered by Military Archives. They have asked anyone sharing their content to link back to them, as they have worked hard on remastering all the songs they work on and would like all the credit that they richly deserve for this.
