Bees Drinking Turtle Tears II
Origin Entry:
Your Tears are Delicious
Description
http://www.perunature.com An interesting interaction in the Amazon- bees, and more often butterflies, are quick to fly in to take a sip of tears in a turtle's eyes. This behavior is almost certainly done to obtain sodium (salt), which is a hard to find mineral in much of the Amazon.
