During the broadcast for super bowl 46 on NBC, Cris Collinsworth, an analyzer for the network, stated "You'll be hearing about this for the next 50 years," after Mario Manningham caught the ball while falling out of bounds. The catch itself was important in the game, but not so important that it changed the course of football history for the next 50 years. The variations can include any other image that refers to some person, place or event, that we will be hearing or seeing for the next 50 years. The joke is that something people (in this case collinsworth) think will be historic and relevant for a long time, normally becomes irrelevant the next week.
