"Guava Hand" or "Lemon Hand" is a meme about a hand holding a guava. It is very similar to the "Brushie, Brushie, Brushie" meme, as the hand and object are taken out of the original picture and pasted onto others. "Guava Hand" usually includes someone's face with some kind of emotion (happy, sad, inquisitive, perplexed). The "Guava Hand" is then placed in the picture. This greatly amplifies the given emotion, as it is now being surfaced by the said guava. They could also be eating and/or licking the guava as well.

Fruit Type Controversy

The guava itself is also a source of controversy. It has been called many types of fruits such as lemon,mango, watermelon, banana, and so forth with the general consensus being guava in first and lemon in second. If you look close enough, though, you can obviously tell it's a guava.

Origins

Guava hand surfaced on 4chan's /b/ board on April 30th, 2012. The original poster (OP) challenged /b/ to make a meme out of a picture of him holding a guava fruit. /b/ accepted the challenge.
