Overview

Caddicarus is an English video game critic in the site Hidden Block, who has been active since 2011^[1].

Caddicarus, real name James Caddick, critiques video games in many different forms, ranging from the traditional critical style to more unusual means of critique, as shown in his videos such as Current Quickies, Caddy's Retrospectives, H.O.P (Hands-on Preview), Top 10's, or Tinker Time. As of October 2014, Caddicarus has gained over 300,000 subscribers. And on June 2016, Caddicarus reached 500k subscribers. Altough, in his next video about Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly (as he promised to do the review for the Spyro trilogy for the 1.000.000 subs special), Caddicarus stated how Youtube deleted over 25.000 channels from their severs, resetting Caddicarus' channel on 486,790 subscribers. Months later, Caddicarus would reach the 500k subscribers again.

Origin

Caddicarus made his debut on the Hidden Block website with a review of the Playstation One game, Rascal Racers, after failing to join the site NormalBoots before its breakup. Caddicarus joined HiddenBlock before the resurrection of NormalBoots with assistance from other video game critics such as The Completionist and Did You Know Gaming, becoming a video game critic reminiscent of JonTron. After the review's success, Caddicarus went on to become a major attraction to the HiddenBlock website, and gained a degree fame on YouTube as well. As of 2014, Caddicarus has been active for three years.
His review of Rascal Racers currently has over 669.960 views.

Videos

Caddicarus has made many videos, all of which being moderately popular and very well-received. One such review, titled "THE WORST GAME EVER MADE", is currently nearing 1,000,000 views.

His other videos have a moderate degree of popularity, mostly reaching around 500,000 views.

Online Presence

Caddicarus, much like YouTube celebrity JonTron, has become a source of exploitation for Reaction Images or videos, many of which focusing on his exaggerated reaction to the games he reviews. He also has made appearances in other online video game critics' videos, such as the Completionist, BrutalMoose, and Scarfulu.

Fandom

Caddicarus has a growing fan base of over 500,000 subscribers on YouTube and over 23,000 likes on his Facebook page.
