On July 29th, 2004, Newgrounds user burtonearny uploaded a flash animation set to his own original composition, “The Llama Song.”

This wacky and random song quickly took off all over the internet and created a meme.

Some interesting ideas about its meaning and possible origin: Llama is the name for a “lamer” now better known as a “n00b” in computer society. There was once a popular video game called llamatron.
