Nine Months In My Womb Making Me Suffer and He Looks Like His Stupid Dad is a redraw meme format depicting a character who just had birth looking at their baby and complaining that, after nine months of pregnancy, they came out looking like their "stupid father," then showing the father and baby's similar appearances. The format is based on a two-panel webcomic by X / Twitter artist @c0cA_Mica that was posted in late December 2024. The comic took of as a redraw format in early January 2025, garnering viral spread on X, Reddit, Tumblr and Instagram.
Origin
On December 20th, 2024, X[1] artist @c0cA_Mica posted a webcomic featuring the Adventure Time characters Prismo and Scarab. In the comic, Scarab is in a hospital bed holding the couple's newborn baby. Scarab says, "Nine months in my womb making me suffer and he looks like his stupid dad!" The second panel reveals the baby, who has the same expression as the dad. Some have claimed that the baby looks like Alan from Smiling Friends. The post gained over 9,400 likes and 600 reposts in three weeks.
On December 21st, X[2] user @fanimplaytion posted a redraw of the comic, garnering over 600 likes in the same rough span of time. This is the earliest known redraw of the comic.
Spread
On January 7th, 2025, X[3] user @the_angler_mann posted a redraw of the meme format in response to a previous post of theirs about the Minecraft vs. Animation web series, garnering over 159,000 likes and 13,000 reposts in three days. The post inspired further redraws of the comic.
On January 8th, X[4] user @salchichazzz posted a redraw based on The Amazing Digital Circus, which was reposted to /r/TheDigitalCircus[5] that day, garnering over 54,000 likes on the former and 7,400 upvotes on the latter in two days.
Later that day, X[6] user @volavie00 posted a version of the meme redrawing the comic with Sonic the Hedgehog characters Shadow and Rouge, garnering over 25,000 likes in two days.
On January 10th, X[7] user @meowsclesyaoi posted a version of the meme redrawing the characters as Fortnite characters Meowscles and Lynx, garnering over 6,400 likes in under 24 hours.
