Places that we call "liminal" – streets, halls, stairways, and other spaces which only purpose is to connect locations people are actually meant to be in – are not something that we pay much attention to, as we only see them briefly in moments when we're busy getting somewhere important. That's one of the reasons why when we get to at them for a little longer than we usually do, they seem to have an eerie, almost otherworldly aura around them.
While there's nothing actually scary about these liminal areas, the experience of spending too much time in them can be a little discomforting. Take a glance at these dreamlike locations we found from the comfort of your home.
