Jared Leto Wasn't Aware Of The Coronavirus Because He Was Meditating
Despite the entire world battling the global health crisis that is the Coronavirus, it was apparently Jared Leto who was the last person to find out about it. In a tweet that has now gone viral, the actor announced that he had no knowledge of the calamity now impacting all lives on Earth because he had been meditating in the desert for 12 days without any source of technology or form of communication. While he was "catching up on what's going on," he did wish positive energy to all and asked that everyone stay safe.
In an effort to find humor where so little seems to exist this week, many couldn't help but mock the actor by replying with Joker and Black Mirror references. In addition, the question surrounding who actually operated his account became a larger mystery since the actor appeared to tweet on March 10th.
Wow. 12 days ago I began a silent meditation in the desert. We were totally isolated. No phone, no communication etc. We had no idea what was happening outside the facility.

Walked out yesterday into a very different world. One that’s been changed forever. Mind blowing – to say the least. I’m getting messages from friends and family all around the globe and catching up on what’s going on.

Hope you and yours are ok. Sending positive energy to all. Stay inside. Stay safe.

Some found his tweets painful to read.
Thank you Jared. We’re all struggling during this time. I don’t have the virus but I did have to read these tweets

And responded with sarcasm.
Celebrities always know what’s best. The world awaits your wisdom and instructions for what we should do during this crisis Jared.

One user had evidence that the actor seemingly tweeted a few days ago, leading many to question who was actually running his account.
Wait, so who's been tweeting on your account for the past 2 weeks then? Like this one from a week ago. https://t.co/6HlVdtZrj0

In fact, the people demanded an answer to that mystery the most.
I suspected as much your busy but good confirming that it’s not you that exclusively runs your Twitter (Might want to put that in the bio as fans might now be disappointed To find out it’s not been you tweeting them) 👍🏻

Several were happy to point out that the virus had existed well before March.
It existed before you left though.

Some thought he might have been referencing other shocking events.
Tom Brady is leaving the Patriots, Jared. Hard to believe it, right?

The actor's beard and time in the desert didn't convince others that he wasn't Jesus.
Save us jesus

Many felt that Leto's time in the desert was reminiscent of the Black Mirror episode "Smithereens."
Maybe you'll get the reference, maybe you won't. Welcome back to Coronavirus Island. pic.twitter.com/6jyM86X9H7
