Regarding Lady Emily In 2023, Emily contacted me through a friend who spelled out how our conversations made her feel. I was shocked by it, apologized to her, and to some friends I had said/done similar things with. It was well-received among the people I talked to and I'd like to say here that I'm sorry to anyone who hasn't heard this from me. I'd hoped to tell you on my own terms. This was genuinely the first time this behavior was met so negatively to my face. At the time, I was told that this would not go public as long as I never did it again (which I have not done since). I took it to heart and sought professional help immediately. I felt like s--- for months and was seeing a therapist about it every week, and by the start of January I felt I was making some great strides in improving. I took Emily's words seriously and was doing my best to take responsibility, but unfortunately, it all ended up going public anyway. It crushed me inside that despite my efforts, Emily and many others would see me as irredeemable. I want to dispel a few things said about me by Emily. I didn't "ask her for foot pictures constantly." I asked once if I could see a picture of her wearing the shoes I bought for her, which I honestly didn't realize would make her uncomfortable. I've gone through our logs and could find no evidence of that claim that I was “constantly asking" or that it was of her bare feet - I don't think this is a fair summary of our chats. My kink doesn't define every aspect of my life. I bought Emily shoes because she told me hers were damaged and needed replacing, then told me it was almost her birthday half an hour later. It was spur of the moment, and I just wanted to help out a friend. I've also made jokes about feet and bought shoes for most of my friends throughout my life, even for people like Tim.

In every video you've ever seen us together in, I was her boyfriend and our friends all knew about it. You're probably wondering how this stayed a secret for so long. We both wanted our private lives to be hidden at the beginning. After the engagement, I wanted to share it, but Masae stayed firm that it remained private. She was never clear to me as to why, but I respected her wishes until it was necessary to clear this up. We loved each other, and I thought the world of her, but we had a difficult breakup. Losing her was the hardest thing I'd ever gone through, and I regret how emotional I got about it and the way I handled it. That is what happened between us. We would both like to never hear about one another again and I sympathize with her getting bombarded about my situation after a breakup. The feelings she expressed go both ways and I don't wish to be associated with her going forward in any capacity either. As for her video cameo after the breakup, I did that because I believed we were still friends and just taking a break from each other, but once she told me she didn't want them, I stopped. I have strong feelings about the way it was said, but I am asking you nicely to not run away with speculation about her, because I know what that feels like. It has been a long time since I last shared anything with you, but I now feel ready to give an update on how I have been doing, and clear up speculation on some incidents that have been brought up since my last message. I have kept up with the latest news from Tim and I hope that the time away from the Internet and getting help can ensure that you will be better going forward in future. And well now for the future of this channel after Jon's response: So - Jon has said that the TRG channel is going on an indefinite hiatus. This includes future projects that have already been recorded too. There is a possibility they could be posted way down the line but we don't know if or when that could happen. From the above information - I also feel that this channel should also go on a hiatus with Best Moments related to TRG - unfortunately that includes the ongoing Best Moments series of TRG Colosseum 2023 and the Sticker Star playthrough. Luckily I was not in the middle of a main collab Best Moments project which would have been put on hiatus as well (I was in the middle of editing Donkey Kong Country Returns Best Moments though). Maybe in the future - I can go back to the remaining TRG videos I have yet to make Best Moments of - but as with the future TRG videos that were recorded - the Best Moments could also be way down the line in terms of being edited/posted. However - all videos that I currently have on the channel will remain - I have no intentions of removing them as of now. I do think one series may need to have comments disabled due to how they could potentially tie in with the situation (Lost Innocence videos) - but they will still be viewable. Tim and Jon looks like they are going to be making a new channel which will embody the TRG energy. I'm guessing this will be with guests we know and love. That looks to be the future we're headed to - although this not happen in some time by the sound of things. If this new channel is still the same format as TRG (i.e. collab series etc.) - this channel will continue to post Best Moments from the new channel just like it did for TRG. That means Best Moments and Top 10's will still be here in future for the new channel. My channel name is also something I had to consider as well due to... well Chugga basically coming up with the name. However - I think enough time has passed (nearly 13 years jeez) since this channel has been created that I kind of feel like I've made the channel name my own? Maybe you disagree with that but I think it should be okay to keep the channel name as is? Maybe you's could let me know though if you agree or not. As for myself - It's been a very sad start to 2024. I never seen a scenario like this happening at all. But life moves on as they say. Thanks for your patience for my response about recent events. I've had a lot of mixed feelings and emotions over this, but after some long talks, I'm ready to share what the plan is moving forward. First off, to those who were affected by Emile's actions: I'm sincerely sorry this happened to you. I hope you are able to find some closure here and begin to heal. To our viewers: I am sorry for the distress this situation has put on many of you. After a long talk with Emile and Tim, we have decided to put the TRG channel on indefinite hiatus and I will be distancing myself professionally from Emile. Emile has decided that he will be taking time away from the internet to better himself and reflect on his actions, and I wish him the best in getting the help he needs. The projects we have already recorded for TRG that haven't been posted, will likely not be posted. It doesn't feel right to just post it as if nothing happened. Maybe sometime down the road they'll get posted, but that will be a ways off. Tim and I will consider starting a new channel, and getting some of our close friends involved so it can embody the core energy of TRG while cutting free of the name. This won't be for a while, though, as I think we need a break after the previous few months. Colosseum will still be moving forward, and is still planned for this year, but it will be rebranding slightly and removing the TRG name. We feel it's bigger than just one person and puts out too much good into the world to lose. We'll have more info on that later. Thrown Controllers will also be continuing at cons with myself and Tim, although the con circuit for this year may be a bit different, I'll keep you posted on that. My hope is that everyone involved can heal from this, and the new path ahead will be the best for all of us moving forward. Thanks.

Hey everyone, Slimkirby here... I initially wasn't sure if I wanted to address or make a comment on this as I generally try to avoid discussions of this nature due to the fact that they personally don't involve me or my business, and I like to keep my posts in my socials relevant to what I'm currently doing and working on. However, after a bunch of things have come to light this week (really the last 2 weeks), I figured it was time to say something, as the longer I didn't say anything about it, the longer I knew I was going to be pressed to make a comment on it, and I'd rather just get this out now so I can continue to work and focus on my own content without this shadow hanging over everything. In regards to recent allegations and developments involving YouTube user chuggaaconroy, first and foremost, I want to give nothing but my sympathy and complete support to all of those who have come forward (directly or indirectly) with their negative and/or uncomfortable experiences with him over the past decade (and longer) and I wish nothing but good mental health moving forward and that you can find peace, contentment and safety in the coming months and years. You are very brave for coming forward with what you have, and I'm sure it wasn't easy to do so. The same also goes to any of his close friends, and individuals he's worked with very closely over the last decade as well, since I know this has been quite the unexpected news drop and I know for an absolute fact the huge impact he's had on a great number of other content creators. In regards to Chugga himself, I am incredibly disappointed to have learned all that I have. Emile and I haven't had any significant one-on- one contact in close to a decade (and even if we did, it was very brief, like, minutes within an entire 12 years of time). We never really had the most stable friendship, but even beyond all the back-and-forth teasing between each other, I wouldn't say we ever had any negative interactions personally. In fact, I do owe a lot to Emile as he was the one who helped me secure partnership with my YouTube channel in the first place and he was always the first one to reach out to help me if I had ever encountered any issues on the YouTube front in general. This is actually a pretty big reason for why I didn't stream Mario Party on Friday, as I notice conversation during those streams tend to shift towards Chugga and The RunawayGuys quite "regularly" during the times I stream Mario Party, and with everything coming out this last week, I knew I was just not ready mentally to address all of this at that time, especially with all the fresh information that had just come out not even a day prior to that scheduled stream. So please, out of respect to not just me, but also to those who are still trying to wrap their heads around all of this, leave these topics/discussions alone. That's all I ask. I don't expect everyone to read this right away, and I'm not going to be super strict or angry if anyone accidentally inquires about this stuff in any of my mediums without realizing how I feel about it. Hey everyone, Slimkirby here... I initially wasn't sure if I wanted to address or make a comment on this as I generally try to avoid discussions of this nature due to the fact that they personally don't involve me or my business, and I like to keep my posts in my socials relevant to what I'm currently doing and working on. However, after a bunch of things have come to light this week (really the last 2 weeks), I figured it was time to say something, as the longer I didn't say anything about it, the longer I knew I was going to be pressed to make a comment on it, and I'd rather just get this out now so I can continue to work and focus on my own content without this shadow hanging over everything. In regards to recent allegations and developments involving YouTube user chuggaaconroy, first and foremost, I want to give nothing but my sympathy and complete support to all of those who have come forward (directly or indirectly) with their negative and/or uncomfortable experiences with him over the past decade (and longer) and I wish nothing but good mental health moving forward and that you can find peace, contentment and safety in the coming months and years. You are very brave for coming forward with what you have, and I'm sure it wasn't easy to do so. The same also goes to any of his close friends, and individuals he's worked with very closely over the last decade as well, since I know this has been quite the unexpected news drop and I know for an absolute fact the huge impact he's had on a great number of other content creators. In regards to Chugga himself, I am incredibly disappointed to have learned all that I have. Emile and I haven't had any significant one-on- one contact in close to a decade (and even if we did, it was very brief, like, minutes within an entire 12 years of time). We never really had the most stable friendship, but even beyond all the back-and-forth teasing between each other, I wouldn't say we ever had any negative interactions personally. In fact, I do owe a lot to Emile as he was the one who helped me secure partnership with my YouTube channel in the first place and he was always the first one to reach out to help me if I had ever encountered any issues on the YouTube front in general. We've had multiple long talks already. I know I said elsewhere I'm not much one for "serious" conversations, but I think it went pretty okay. I told him that I still held him accountable (which was pretty hard to do) and he said he respected that, but I also said that I wasn't giving up on him. We went to Starbucks, came home, had pizza and watched Ed Edd & Eddy for about an hour. He actually laughed a little bit a few times. First time I've heard him laugh in 2 weeks. I guess in the interest of transparency, not that I think this would ever come up otherwise, but I was aware that he had started going to therapy again a few months ago. (I say "again" because he was going about a year ago, and then he stopped, and then he started again) This was yet another thing I didn't ask him about 'cause I felt like it was none of my business. I assumed it was a combination of the stress of having a girlfriend overseas, losing his cat, the bed bugs, the Septic Tank Leak (You know, IN THE BATHROOM), and the stress of his work. some of those videos (the one about Pokéstar Studios for example) took almost a week to make. I remember sitting in here listening to him do like 4 and 5 takes of so many lines. What a perfectionist, heh. I guess one other thing to clear up while I'm here, about the ulcers. Those were not directly caused by what happened last week, he had stomach problems even before that. I have no doubt the stress of last week exacerbated it, but this didn't "give" him the ulcers. That night, he was transferred to another facility (I assume they wanted to deal with the ulcers/internal bleeding caused by stress first) and that was about 2AM Thursday morning. So technically the 72 hours goes until 2AM Sunday morning, or about 11 hours from now. He's talking to a psychiatrist today, but we don't know for sure if he's going to get out tomorrow or not. They might keep him for one more day, but that's up to the docs. Oh, a small edit incase anyone wonders. I deleted the videos of him and me watching Nintendo Directs. I haven't deleted the Pokemon Sapphire finale where he post- commentated or a Yoshi's Crafted World with his name in the title. I still gotta remove some Twitch alerts that he's in and fix Stephen and Tom's countermeasures. While I am trying to disassociate publicly, I'm not giving up on him personally. But it is pretty tough. Reckon I better make myself a hot dog, feeling a little hungie. When did we start saying "hungie" anyway? Plus I was super unhappy there just 'cause of how angry everyone was all the time. Long story, we'll skip that. I was making about $1300 a month at the bakery. Even today, between Youtube and Twitch I still make more than that. Not a LOT more, but I'm still able to pay half of the rent and bills here with Emile, which comes out to about the same as what I was paying for rent and bills by myself in Ohio. If I had to get a job again, I would be perfectly able to now since I've gotten on meds for the hypothyroid stuff. It would suck, but I would do it. That is what most people in the world have to do anyway and I'm not special, so if it comes to that, yeah. I visited Emile for a couple weeks in 2021, because he had just found out that Kirby (his cat) had kidney failure and he thought the poor guy only had a few weeks left, and I wanted to be there for him for that. In the end, that absolute madcat lived almost a whole nother year, but beside the point. When he saw what a state I was in, he urged me to a clinic and well you know the rest of that story. He took me to the gym and I walked 1.2 miles per hour on the treadmill and it was actually difficult. (Now I usually can do 3mph without even breaking a sweat.) Then he took me to the mall in Atlanta and bought me a bunch of new clothes and shoes (heh). Anyway I'm getting way off topic here. I'm probably just rehashing the Super Mario Kart Vlog anyway. Not trying to say what he did was okay, 'cause well, it wasn't. Kinks are one thing, I think a lot of us have some that we'd be better off not talking about, but it's important to know when and especially when not to act on them. Reply Share 114
