Regarding Masae Masae and I dated for 10 years and we were engaged to be married. It fell apart about three years ago now. In every video you've ever seen us together in, I was her boyfriend and our friends all knew about it. You're probably wondering how this stayed a secret for so long. We both wanted our private lives to be hidden at the beginning. After the engagement, I wanted to share it, but Masae stayed firm that it remained private. She was never clear to me as to why, but I respected her wishes until it was necessary to clear this up. We loved each other, and I thought the world of her, but we had a difficult breakup. Losing her was the hardest thing I'd ever gone through, and I regret how emotional I got about it and the way I handled it. That is what happened between us. We would both like to never hear about one another again and I sympathize with her getting bombarded about my situation after a breakup. The feelings she expressed go both ways and I don't wish to be associated with her going forward in any capacity either. As for her video cameo after the breakup, I did that because I believed we were still friends and just taking a break from each other, but once she told me she didn't want them, I stopped. I have strong feelings about the way it was said, but I am asking you nicely to not run away with speculation about her, because I know what that feels like. And if you felt bad for enjoying our old videos, don't. I still look back on them fondly, and personally assure you that we were happy and having fun in them. The time for that is just over now.

After communicating with Emile, we would like this message out there. Yes, Emile and I were engaged. Keeping it private was a mutual decision, especially through the first several years. After that, when Emile expressed interest in becoming public, I was hesitant because of how much social pressure was already put on our relationship. He was respectful of that, and we proceeded with the status quo. We do not condone the harassment of any party, and the omission was an effort to prevent speculation about our now very separate personal lives. Ultimately it was a personal matter and a joint decision between two adults. I would like to reiterate that my objective with my previous post was just to be left alone, and that has not changed. I was being asked a lot of invasive questions with increasing frequency, as I'm sure Emile has as well. We do not want to be associated, we do not want to hear of each other moving forward- a mutual sentiment as our paths are now completely separate and we want to move on with our lives. Although I cannot be a part of his journey, I wish Emile luck on his healing and his path forward.

Regardless of my clarifications and context, I definitely still made mistakes and learned lessons, as well as learned new things about how my mind works. I don't want to get carried away and make it sound like I'm 100% blameless. I needed psychiatric help for my depression and roleplay behavior. I took your criticism of my person seriously and am forever working every day to ensure nothing like this could ever happen again. It will not happen again. I'm a fan of numbers, so let me show you. Since privately confronted about this, I: •Saw my therapist 6 times before anything was made public. •Completed 11 behavioral health sessions with a psychologist. Continuing to do so for the foreseeable future. •Spent 5 nights in a mental ward and have met with my doctors twice since then. •Read numerous medical articles to understand my conditions better and how to avoid mistakes. •Have never missed a dosage of 4 medications and supplements that better regulate my brain activity. •Have not ever wanted to roleplay again. •Feel more self-aware and cognizant than at any point in my life up to this point. I can be absolutely certain I would never disappoint you like this again. And I say that knowing you will hold me to a higher standard than ever. I have and always will continue to give it my all in the psychiatric help I sought out. In my mind, nothing after my apology changed that I meant every word and was already in the process of making good on all of this. Months before anything went public. Some of these, I learned and grew from many years ago. I would have been here to tell you this sooner had my mental trauma not kept me from it. I needed to heal.

Moving Forward I'd like to make an ode to my friends. Several reached out the night I came home from the hospital. They didn't want me to be alone and still believed I was a good person. Heck, I think some of you believed I was more innocent than I did. It took me a while to see this your way. I love all of you, my friends. Even if you were critical of me, I cannot bring myself to not love you. Some of it was things I already agreed with, some of it was things I needed to hear. And some of it was telling me this wasn't as bad as I thought. I want to thank my best friend Tim/NintendoCapriSun. He handled so many decisions in all of this for me when I was not well enough to make them for myself. He cooked for me every day when I wasn't allowed near the knives. I think you really saved me. Please support him with all you can. I didn't say this last time. I'm so sorry for all the heartache and worry I caused my friends and caused you. I worked hard every day to make sure I would never make you feel like this again and could be dependable once more. I really didn't mean to do harm here, and feel I've learned about myself in ways I didn't know I needed to. These are positive things.

Hey, everybody. It has been a long time since I last shared anything with you, but I now feel ready to give an update on how I have been doing, and clear up speculation on some incidents that have been brought up since my last message. Whenever something blows up online, people make a lot of incorrect assumptions based on not knowing the full story, and often assume the worst possible context. I would like to start by clearing up these misconceptions. I haven't wanted to reveal information about others, but I think at this point it's best that everything is out in the open. I have removed irrelevant personal information as I only want to say as much as I need to in order to set the record straight. Please do not bother anybody I name here - I do not want others to experience what I went through. I have already asked that people not harass my accusers and it is disappointing to see this ignored or not respected; I truly don't want anybody to be attacked over this.

I have kept up with the latest news from Tim and I hope that the time away from the Internet and getting help can ensure that you will be better going forward in future. And well now for the future of this channel after Jon's response: So - Jon has said that the TRG channel is going on an indefinite hiatus. This includes future projects that have already been recorded too. There is a possibility they could be posted way down the line but we don't know if or when that could happen. From the above information - I also feel that this channel should also go on a hiatus with Best Moments related to TRG - unfortunately that includes the ongoing Best Moments series of TRG Colosseum 2023 and the Sticker Star playthrough. Luckily I was not in the middle of a main collab Best Moments project which would have been put on hiatus as well (I was in the middle of editing Donkey Kong Country Returns Best Moments though). Maybe in the future - I can go back to the remaining TRG videos I have yet to make Best Moments of - but as with the future TRG videos that were recorded - the Best Moments could also be way down the line in terms of being edited/posted. However - all videos that I currently have on the channel will remain - I have no intentions of removing them as of now. I do think one series may need to have comments disabled due to how they could potentially tie in with the situation (Lost Innocence videos) - but they will still be viewable. Tim and Jon looks like they are going to be making a new channel which will embody the TRG energy. I'm guessing this will be with guests we know and love. That looks to be the future we're headed to - although this not happen in some time by the sound of things. If this new channel is still the same format as TRG (i.e. collab series etc.) - this channel will continue to post Best Moments from the new channel just like it did for TRG. That means Best Moments and Top 10's will still be here in future for the new channel. My channel name is also something I had to consider as well due to... well Chugga basically coming up with the name. However - I think enough time has passed (nearly 13 years jeez) since this channel has been created that I kind of feel like I've made the channel name my own? Maybe you disagree with that but I think it should be okay to keep the channel name as is? Maybe you's could let me know though if you agree or not. As for myself - It's been a very sad start to 2024. I never seen a scenario like this happening at all. But life moves on as they say. I do hope everyone can find their own resolution from this and be able to move on from it. But that takes time. I may also record some more LP's of my own to keep some content ticking along on the channel while we wait for the future of where Tim and Jon take us - It's been a while since I recorded one (last one was Kirby's Dream Course 2 years ago) and tbh I've been getting the itch to make another one. Thanks for your patience for my response about recent events. I've had a lot of mixed feelings and emotions over this, but after some long talks, I'm ready to share what the plan is moving forward. First off, to those who were affected by Emile's actions: I'm sincerely sorry this happened to you. I hope you are able to find some closure here and begin to heal. To our viewers: I am sorry for the distress this situation has put on many of you. After a long talk with Emile and Tim, we have decided to put the TRG channel on indefinite hiatus and I will be distancing myself professionally from Emile. Emile has decided that he will be taking time away from the internet to better himself and reflect on his actions, and I wish him the best in getting the help he needs. The projects we have already recorded for TRG that haven't been posted, will likely not be posted. It doesn't feel right to just post it as if nothing happened. Maybe sometime down the road they'll get posted, but that will be a ways off. Tim and I will consider starting a new channel, and getting some of our close friends involved so it can embody the core energy of TRG while cutting free of the name. This won't be for a while, though, as I think we need a break after the previous few months. Colosseum will still be moving forward, and is still planned for this year, but it will be rebranding slightly and removing the TRG name. We feel it's bigger than just one person and puts out too much good into the world to lose. We'll have more info on that later. Thrown Controllers will also be continuing at cons with myself and Tim, although the con circuit for this year may be a bit different, I'll keep you posted on that. My hope is that everyone involved can heal from this, and the new path ahead will be the best for all of us moving forward. Thanks.

Hey everyone, Slimkirby here... I initially wasn't sure if I wanted to address or make a comment on this as I generally try to avoid discussions of this nature due to the fact that they personally don't involve me or my business, and I like to keep my posts in my socials relevant to what I'm currently doing and working on. However, after a bunch of things have come to light this week (really the last 2 weeks), I figured it was time to say something, as the longer I didn't say anything about it, the longer I knew I was going to be pressed to make a comment on it, and I'd rather just get this out now so I can continue to work and focus on my own content without this shadow hanging over everything. In regards to recent allegations and developments involving YouTube user chuggaaconroy, first and foremost, I want to give nothing but my sympathy and complete support to all of those who have come forward (directly or indirectly) with their negative and/or uncomfortable experiences with him over the past decade (and longer) and I wish nothing but good mental health moving forward and that you can find peace, contentment and safety in the coming months and years. You are very brave for coming forward with what you have, and I'm sure it wasn't easy to do so. The same also goes to any of his close friends, and individuals he's worked with very closely over the last decade as well, since I know this has been quite the unexpected news drop and I know for an absolute fact the huge impact he's had on a great number of other content creators. In regards to Chugga himself, I am incredibly disappointed to have learned all that I have. Emile and I haven't had any significant one-on- one contact in close to a decade (and even if we did, it was very brief, like, minutes within an entire 12 years of time). We never really had the most stable friendship, but even beyond all the back-and-forth teasing between each other, I wouldn't say we ever had any negative interactions personally. In fact, I do owe a lot to Emile as he was the one who helped me secure partnership with my YouTube channel in the first place and he was always the first one to reach out to help me if I had ever encountered any issues on the YouTube front in general. That always meant a lot to me and I am thankful for what he has done to assist in making it possible for me to make a living out of a hobby I really enjoy. So even if it seemed that there was some bad blood, or at the very least, just general awkwardness between us, there was at least a significant level of mutual respect that existed between us, which is what made finding out about all of this and making this message so much harder for me to do. However, as difficult as it is, silence is not an option I am content or comfortable with anymore as a result of these new developments. I can't, don't and won't support or condone Emile's actions, and moving forward myself, I don't want to or wish to associate with or have an association with him or that kind of behavior either. So even though this could seen as a hard ask, I would like to request him not being mentioned around me or my content moving forward. I know it's going be difficult not to make those connections, as there is certainly some history between Chugga and myself (some of which can be seen in a number of my videos), and more than that, I know his content meant a lot to many of my viewing audience. Moving on from that though, I'd just rather him and his channel not be a topic of discussion on my video comments, stream chats, social media accounts, or Discord community severs anymore. This is actually a pretty big reason for why I didn't stream Mario Party on Friday, as I notice conversation during those streams tend to shift towards Chugga and The RunawayGuys quite "regularly" during the times I stream Mario Party, and with everything coming out this last week, I knew I was just not ready mentally to address all of this at that time, especially with all the fresh information that had just come out not even a day prior to that scheduled stream. So please, out of respect to not just me, but also to those who are still trying to wrap their heads around all of this, leave these topics/discussions alone. That's all I ask. I don't expect everyone to read this right away, and I'm not going to be super strict or angry if anyone accidentally inquires about this stuff in any of my mediums without realizing how I feel about it. Just know that if I don't address it, that is incredibly intentional, as I'd rather shift discussion to something else. And if anyone could try to help and do the same when any of those instances happen to come up, I would really appreciate it. Thank you everyone, and I'll talk to you/see you around later. Tim Confirms that Emile is Out of the Hospital, Provides Further Updates and Clarification

NintendoCapri5un. 18m ago Rather than making replies to replies all up in here, I'll just drop this. Emile is home. This is the most lucid I think I've seen him since last summer. We've had multiple long talks already. I know I said elsewhere I'm not much one for "serious" conversations, but I think it went pretty okay. I told him that I still held him accountable (which was pretty hard to do) and he said he respected that, but I also said that I wasn't giving up on him. We went to Starbucks, came home, had pizza and watched Ed Edd & Eddy for about an hour. He actually laughed a little bit a few times. First time I've heard him laugh in 2 weeks. I guess in the interest of transparency, not that I think this would ever come up otherwise, but I was aware that he had started going to therapy again a few months ago. (I say "again" because he was going about a year ago, and then he stopped, and then he started again) This was yet another thing I didn't ask him about 'cause I felt like it was none of my business. I assumed it was a combination of the stress of having a girlfriend overseas, losing his cat, the bed bugs, the Septic Tank Leak (You know, IN THE BATHROOM), and the stress of his work. some of those videos (the one about Pokéstar Studios for example) took almost a week to make. I remember sitting in here listening to him do like 4 and 5 takes of so many lines. What a perfectionist, heh. I guess one other thing to clear up while I'm here, about the ulcers. Those were not directly caused by what happened last week, he had stomach problems even before that. I have no doubt the stress of last week exacerbated it, but this didn't "give" him the ulcers. That's yet another thing I could have probably been more clear on. I'm not used to having this much power in my hands, and you know what they say about great power. Please be safe, folks!
