This was senior candidate, being given polite, constructive feedback on how they ever so slightly missed out on the job - I didn't' even have a chance to say "if anything changes we could consider offering you the role" - phone down, gone ⑪Talk about burning bridges!? If there's one thing I put A LOT of time and effort into, it's a good candidate experience, even more so since I was made redundant last year (I get it!). I've been told countless times "I've never had such a thorough and welcoming call from a recruiter, thank you". Does that boost my ego? NO. It simply reminds me that I'm doing the right thing and being human. I run intro/screening calls up to 1 hour because I genuinely care about what candidates have to say. Yes my screening questions are important, but so too is finding out wht drives candidates, what progression for them actually means, what's led to their current circumstances and finding out who they are BEYOND the CV. On the flip side, talking passionately about HSOne UK and what we have to offer easily takes up 20 minutes and I'm OK with that because we have such a great story to tell The end. 20191 83 comments • 1 repost](https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/masonry/002/826/790/325.jpeg)
