20 years ago, Warner Bros. Animation produced a short-lived Saturday morning cartoon "Coconut Fred's Fruit Salad Island." It was nothing more than a shameless "SpongeBob SquarePants" knockoff but with tropical fruits. After it went off the air, Warner Bros. was trying their hardest to make sure it never saw the light of day again... even Cartoon Network and Boomerang outright REFUSED to rerun it (at least in the United States)!

In the mid-2000s, FOX began showing a LOT of gritty and edgy dramas in their primetime lineup, to the point where eventually "The Simpsons" became one of their only scripted shows to not have the TV spots end with the announcer quickly saying in a low tone "Viewer discretion advised." It may not have been a hard-core sex channel, but it was kind of a gradual change to something really edgy anyways. Yeesh!
