Making a Deal with a Demon

My favorite moment with my D&D group so far They met a Demon at a crossroads, he said they had to make a deal with him or he would steal their souls. The Fighter was like, "Hey can you just wait for 5 seconds for me?" Demon's like: "Alright." Five seconds later the Fighter says "Alright our deal is complete" "What do you mean our deal is complete?" said the Demon "Well I asked you to wait 5 seconds, then you agreed. Since you waited 5 seconds, that means our deal is complete right?" The Demon is in shock, and so am I, the DM. This fighter just out-tricked a freakin' demon deal by telling the demon to cool his heels for a moment I couldn't believe it.

He cranked the points really high. On alignments Good characters help the old lady across the street. Neutral characters help the old lady across the street because they're heading that way as well. Evil characters help the old lady across the street and then charge her a fee for it. The evil that you're all supposed to be fighting would help the old lady cross the street... in the middle of rush hour traffic that is, then he would steal her purse and run away laughing

OATH OF REDEMPTION The Oath of Redemption sets a paladin on a difficult path, one that requires a holy warrior to use violence only as a last resort. Paladins who dedicate themselves to this oath believe that any person can be redeemed and that the path of benevolence and justice is one that anyone can walk. After many sessions travelling through time, uncovering mysteries and learning harsh lessons about changing history, we had to stop a time-travelling cuit from destroying the gods, and therefore the world We failed our machine crashed. We were stranded earlier than we had ever been abie otra el We found he Gods, but on y ew of hem were presen卜it was as f some had never existed Then we realised we hadto become those Gods. Our part was entirely d Cleric Paladin, Avenger Paladin, Avenger ne Invoker), and each of us was a worshipper of a god who had been unmade- and we were only people in existance with enough knowledge of forgoten deities to assume their roles But two of the players were worshippers ot lo (in his twin forms of Tiamat and Bahamut who of course would form later ater lo's death), and only one could become lo. The other would have to be the un-created Asmodeus So the most just, honourable and dedicated Lawful Good Paladin ve ever seen roleplayed became the god of tyranny and evl. If he hadn't the gods would never have primordials, and the world would never have been completed In our setting, Asmodeus is every bit the epitome of evil you would expect him gods who abide his presence know him as otherwise. He adheres to his role because he knows he has to- and that in doing so, the world can exist He can never tell anyone his duty, and defeated the to be. Nobody but the noone who knows can ever discuss it In the farthest recesses of the Nine Hells, in a chamber sealed tighter than any other in existance is a pocketwatch of finest gnome craft with a photo of his tamily in it- his wite, son and little baby girl They were killed by an orc army marching under the orders and banner of Asmodeus. Their deaths are what drove him to become an adventurer
