The spells are shown to have their own internal and interpersonal conflicts, shunning a spell for being "dark magic" and another for being seemingly useless but coming to terms and accepting them in the end. They're even shown to form relationships, fall in love with each other and even have babies with each other. A spell, Narwhal Blast, has a wife who somehoe gives birth to a baby Narwhal blast. The ending implies they're all, dead. Murdered by Star. The only magical creation fo Star that is outright stated by Nefcy to be not dead are some Laser Puppies who she summoed out of thin air and lived outside the wand. No statement on whether any other source of magic existed. No statement on which characters and beings might have survived or died as a result of magic's destruction. The only answer we got is that the laser puppies are alive, even tho it contradicts everything that was previously established. All questions on how this actually works were ignored. What are they hiding?
