The "VDC Maintenance Page Meme", also known for only being the original maintenance page of the Valve Developer Community site, is a image related meme that originated from various screenshots that show alterations from the original content via the use of a browsers Inspect Element feature, it stretches to various lengths as to changing only the text, to changing the entire look of the content as a whole.

Origin

On July 4th, 2018, a single individual began to insert multiple XSS scripts within the pages of the site, mostly within contents that should include images, although not doing any serious damage, it would sometimes cause people who enter the site to download various semi-harmful malware into their personal computers, after an entire hour passes, the site gets taken into maintenance to fix the problem, after reports of the individual who has been vandalizing the site, started piling up.

The Maintenance site would should a blank page with nothing but a blue box with white text, writing :

"Under Construction.

The Valve Developer Community is currently undergoing maintenance and will be available again soon! "

Aswell, as including a picture of the Engineer class from "Team Fortress 2"

Source Modding Community discord Member : DreamPanzerFahrer created an altered version of the page, with contents of the text changed from it's original, into a more jokeish form, the image itself has also began to be altered after the first post.
