What Is The "6-7" Song On TikTok?

The song featured in the "6-7" memes on TikTok is the drill rap song "Doot Doot" by Skrilla. It was officially released on December 1st, 2024, and started to become popularized on TikTok shortly after it was released.

The song has Skrilla rapping about taking care of his opps and repeats several times, "The way that switch brrt I know he dyin', 6-7."

In the context of the song, "6-7" is purportedly used to reference 67th Street in Chicago. Presumably, this is where Skrilla is from or where his gang is based.

How Is "6-7" Used In Memes?

The month the song came out, TikTokers began using it in videos. The earliest known video to use the song is an edit compiling footage of NBA player Lamelo Ball. In the video, a commentator talks about Lamelo and says he plays like a 6' 1" player despite being 6' 7". Once he says "6' 7"," the music kicks in.

This has become one of the most popular running memes related to the song. The memes begin with someone saying "6' 7"," followed by a Lamelo Ball compilation. Beyond that, the song is also being used in lip dubs, in which a user writes something like, "I got 67% on a test," and then claims they can only think of "Doot Doot."
