Drake Receives Endless Ridicule And Memes After Surprise Album Drop Of 'Honestly, Nevermind'
Only nine months after the release of Certified Lover Boy, the Toronto-based rapper Drake announced and released his eighth studio album, called Honestly, Nevermind, overnight.
Contrasting against the emoji-ridden album art of CLB, Honestly, Nevermind uses a more metal band logo font to express the name of the album, and in doing so, immediately signals to others that this is something different.

This difference, however, was seemingly lost on most of Twitter and other social media users, which immediately started to go in on the hip-hop album making memes.

The main point of ridicule for the album, which many think is just mid, comes from the name of it. By being named Honestly, Nevermind, many fans take the album itself to be nothing more than an afterthought by Drake and are subsequently acting as though the album should've stayed that — an afterthought that was never released.
This has led to numerous posts about the name of the album being Drake's true feelings on it, saying that even he supposedly doesn't have his heart in it.
Honestly Nevermind is quite frankly what drake should have done before he decided to release whatever the fuck this album is. pic.twitter.com/oLc7TMZMOz

Maybe drake knew the album was mid and that's why he called it honestly nevermind pic.twitter.com/EgAmW4ZPvk

While there were some people still bumping to the tracks, one single key factor stood out above the rest — 21 Savage. Multiple people have pointed to 21 Savage as being the saving grace of the album, and that he might be single-handedly saving the album from being a gigantic L by Drake, leading to more memes being made about Savage.
At the same time, it also led to people creating memes or references to Drake supposedly falling off because some feel the best parts of his albums are features instead of him.
I didn't like the Drake album until the 21 Savage song, honestly! nevermind
