HBO Max Is Bringing Back 'Clone High'
HBO Max is bringing back Clone High.
The news was announced today, as HBO Max revealed they are working on a Clone High reboot, an adult-themed Scooby-Doo spinoff called Velma, and an existential workplace comedy called Fired On Mars, as the network looks to branch into making more animated content.
Clone High, created by Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Bill Lawrence, had itself a meme-driven revival in 2020 on the strength of clips like Nothing Bad Ever Happens To The Kennedys, I Like Your Funny Words, Magic Man, and My Day Be So Fine. HBO promises the upcoming revival will be "a modern refresh of the hit series" and that the original creators are on board.
On social media, news of the Clone High reboot elicited excited responses from fans who were hoping for more from the show, which only ran one season in 2002.
