About

I Like Your Funny Words, Magic Man refers to a clip from an episode of 2002 animated series Clone High in which character JFK responds to character The Pusher who offers to sell him raisins. Starting in September 2020, the clip has been used as a reaction, also spawning an image macro.

Origin

On January 12th, 2003, episode nine "Raisin the Stakes: A Rock Opera in Three Acts" of season one of the animated series Clone High premiered.[1] In one scene of the episode, character Larry Hardcore / The Pusher offers character JFK to buy raisins, which the characters have been smoking as a drug. After hearing The Pusher's pitch, JFK reacts by saying "I like your funny words, magic man!" with his usual accent (scene shown below).

The Pusher: Step into my office. Hold my calls. Sun nuggets. Solar babies. La ova loca. California's finest. All for you to smoke-a!
JFK: I like your funny words, magic man!

The catchphrase did not see use as a meme until on September 9th, following the viral popularity of Clone High memes and memes featuring character JFK in particular, Twitter[2] user @collymmit starter using the clip of JFK saying the phrase as a reaction. Most notably, on that day, @collymitt made a British People joke based on the video that received over 53,300 views, nearly 1000 retweets and 3,600 likes in one month (shown below).
