In an Illinois neighborhood this week near Plainfield, one house, in particular, went viral for its Halloween decorations. Modeling it after the meme-worthy Max's Favorite Song climax from Stranger Things part 4, the Spooktober display went viral on TikTok recently with millions wondering just how they managed to recreate such an iconic scene so perfectly.

The neighbors, who were asked beforehand, were apparently all on board with the decorations (hard to see how they couldn't be given the quality).

The Plainfield house was so good at their decorating that they even inspired copycats online.

However, one neighbor in the 'hood quickly changed her tune (since being labeled a "Karen" online). After the house began going viral, which meant more people in the area driving around to look at it and more attention, in general, being paid to the house, the local Karen decided enough was enough and reportedly filed a complaint.

After citing such fears as having more people coming through meant more potential break-ins or other acts of vandalism, she is now demanding that the entire decoration be removed … and she might even get her way.

As of now, the Karen has reportedly temporarily won, with the decorations being put on hold until the matter could be discussed further. Naturally, many fans of the elaborate decorations were unenthused with the news, and the current status of the Stranger Things decor is unknown.
