Positive Response To 'Scream VI' Trailer Shows Franchise Isn't Dead Yet

The upcoming Scream VI movie just had its reveal trailer launch earlier today, and fans are already screaming with excitement at what many are calling another good-looking entry in the long-standing franchise.

With the new trailer having less of a "small-town" feel than its original trilogy, a focus has also been further placed on the viral sensation Jenna Ortega (fresh off her titular performance as Wednesday) as she reprises her role from the previous film. However, Ortega isn't the only returning cast member, with many from the original trilogy also getting their fair share of the camera — and plot relevance.

With the trailer showcasing a shrine to previous Ghostfaces, many eagle-eyed fans were quick to note references to previous films. The existence of the shrine was enough to create a lot of viral reactions from fans, with many posting about their love for the detailing in it and some also posting about how they'd love to take stuff from it.

However, the references don't just stop with the fan-favorite shrine, but also due to the returning cast as there were little moments sprinkled throughout the trailer that fans picked up on as being direct callbacks to earlier entries in the series, making Scream 6 one that will potentially warrant binging the entire series before watching it.
