If the Hot Hurricane Cop taught us anything, it's that one should always be wary of openly thirsting over authority figures like the police or the military, lest they turn out to be anti-semitic, racist, or bigoted in some way that turns them into a milkshake duck.

Liberal author and activist Jill Filipovic learned this the hard way this week when she stumbled upon pictures of admittedly sexy-looking Spanish soldiers in tight uniforms with deep v-necks exposing their chest.

Unfortunately for Ms. Filipovic (and others who took to ogling the men), these soldiers are the Spanish Legion, aka The Bridegrooms of Death, a militia raised in 1920s Spain for its colonialist endeavors that later fought for Spanish fascist Francisco Franco in the Spanish Civil War. This fact was all-too-eagerly pointed out by Twitter users.
