They could have used:
- Her costume from SS2 to SS4 and NGBC
- A variation of her spirit / koro-pok-kuru self
- Her costume from the Samurai Spirits Oni pachislot (also seen in KOF-I / KOF-A 2012)

But instead they gave her a school uniform, solely for the fetish fuel. A modern one, too. They even made up a "Kamuikotan Girls School", which couldn't possibly have existed during Nakoruru's youth.

Unless… that school exists in the present day at the KOF universe, and Nakoruru decided to enroll there after (or during) the events of KOF XIV, in order to learn the ways of the modern world. That would make sense, but… a kamui kotan is by definition not a place where you can build a modern city or high school… so the name may have been appropriated by the Japanese as they built on a former Ainu village…
