![It is commonly believed that Jesus never condemned homosexuality, but nothing could be further from the truth. He frequently condemned lust in the harshest of terms, as in Matthew 5:28. He picked an example of heterosexual lust-a man lusting at a woman- but those words apply to all forms of lust, whether females lusting after males, homosexual lust, p---------, b---------. All sexual contact outside of natural marriage is lust Moreover, Jesus, in Matthew 23, says, "The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat: All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not. This is an affirmation of what the scribes and Pharisees said about God's law. Well, what were they saying about God's law? They were saying homosexuality and adultery were not only sins, but crimes! Romans 1 is a unique passage in the New Testament on the subject of homosexuality, because it reveals that the sin of homosexuality does not occur in a vacuum, but is at the end of a whole spectrum of sins, beginning with ungratefulness. Their rebellion to God's attempt to govern their sexual appetite with His law is birthed out of this damnable ingratitude. Verse 26 and 27 specifically deal with the transition of the sinner to homosexuality "Because of this [the previous unforsaken sins], God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their womern xchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error." Here again is the concept of natural sexual relations unnatural. Homosexuality is unnatural and perverse, an abuse of our sexual faculties. It is "shameful."
