You're kinda missing the point.
The guy responding to NPR is so quick to think they're criticizing Trump that he can't even catch onto the wording not being modern English, let alone the Declaration of Independance. If I said "a horse, a horse, my country for a horse" without quotations and someone else's immediate response was "Why does America mean so little to you?", that shows a flaw in their thinking.
