This meme stemmed from an inside joke made on Twitter that originated when a user "swapped" the main character of "Super Mario Odyssey" and "Sonic Forces" from their respective games. [link to that tweet right here: https://twitter.com/edmendozaart/status/931764278230732800] People left comments on said tweet focusing on the "Sonic" portion, bewildered by the fact that Sonic was stopping Eggman from marrying what fans presumed was "Amy", usually starting with "I can't believe…." I jumped in on this "inside joke" at some point and someone on Twitter told me to, quote, "make this meme a thing boi". Also, is this what you would consider a "dank meme"?
