They always have crossover characters in Soul Caliber, Darth Vader, Spawn, and even Link have all appeared previously.

Geralt fits perfectly in Soul Calibur. Medieval fantasy setting that also includes some interdimensional travelling, realistic human features and gear.

Making him rivals with Mitsurugi is a nice choice since I imagine its a lot easier to animate a sword fight with characters using similar length swords.
