OP I can't help but wonder what you would do if you lived in a direct democracy (like your other posts suggest you would want) and they didn't agree with you about something. Unless you assume bots or mod favoritism, the upvote/downvote system is direct democracy in action. Unpopular ideas get buried, that's the way its always been. We don't as a society enjoy having to debate the flat earthers or geocentric universe model, so once a particular viewpoint gets so popular (say 90% in agreement) the discussion simply ends. That's not a tragedy that's the system working correctly.

You're getting downboated most significantly than usual lately. I think your coming off as anti-vax may have something to do with it. A lot of people know people whose children suffer or die to that nonsense.
