For,you see, Equestrian Ponies are brightly colored for a reason: They are made of candy The vast majority of the in side of an Equestrian Pony torso is filled with a thick, sweet substance that resembles pudding. As such, they have few discernible organs, and no bones, or circulatory/nervous systems. The fluid nature of their torso, as well as the absence of delicate, easiy-damageable systems, allows for impacts at high velocity without permanent damage to them This nature also explains the Equestrian Pony diet of plants and sweets. It is the sugars and starches (which are converted into sugars) that are digested and converted into more 'pudding'. As such, the sweeter the food,the healthier it is for an Equestrian Pony An Equestrian Pony's lees are comprised of a different material than their torso, made of a highy dense but slighty spongy material that is akin to a very strong marshmellow. This explains how an Equestrian Pony's hoof can be strong enough to buck trees,yet react to water as it does. Earth Pony legs tend to be far stronger than their Pegasus or Unicorn equivalents Furth er more, the 'pelt of an Equestrian Pony is not made of skin and hair as an Earth Pony is, but rather a high-strength, high elasticity, opaque 'gummi substance, that is far tougher than normal flesh. Interestingy,this gummi materialhas a tendency to 'harden' under stimulus,causin g the so-called Wing Boner' effect The closest equivalent to bone material is in the head of an Equestrian Pony, comprising the "skul" that protects the brain of an Equestrian Pony, one of the few discernible and distinct organs belonging to the race.
