The whole thing with G4 MLP brought it to a level that not even the creators expected it to reach. The original G1 show was barely heard of, the franchinse instead being more known as that one Hasbro thing with ponies to sell toys to little girls, and not much else beyond that. Of course nothing done afterwards will go even near as this amount of success, specially with the original G4 creators not working on the show anymore.
