GAMEPLAY/STORY • New scenes added throughout game. This includes small changes/addítions to flesh out scenes with the Phantom Thieves, new events, new gameplay mechanics, as well as new scenes to flesh out new characters and set up new plotlines. Some events are changed, such as the Christmas dates. • Three new confidants: two brand new characters for Royal + Akechi's manual confidant. •Thírd semester: New plotline, new palace, new events throughout. There are condítions to unlock it via new content during the vanilla portion of the story. Not meeting these condítions will trigger the vanilla ending. • More cutscenes are voiced now, including ones that were not previously voiced. • New content throughout adds approximately 20-30 hours of content, but is balanced out by gameplay Q0L changes. • New true endíng, new bad endings. • -30 new songs for the OST. • Minor graphícal upgrades, prímaríly to low-res textures; more/new NPC models exist in the world. • Screencaps/video not blocked until the end of the Christmas date event. • My Palace adds a way to look at the gallery/listen to music/watch movies, but also has íts own minigame, an in-game trophy collection, as well as LOADS AND LOADS of character interactions that don't involve Joker. These flesh out a lot of things from specific events, to character's opinions and takes on people/characters/events. This fleshes out a ton of interactions and has a whole ton of stuff 1 haven't even seen yet. •Minor UI adjustments, mostly to transition screens. GAMEPLAY/REAL WORLD • New scenes added for old confidants; rank 0-1 will often have a bonus scene, many ranks also have phone calls after. Both tend to have díalogue options to boost affinity, as well as flesh out the confidant stories more. • New locations: Kíchijoji is fully explorable and has numerous locations with boons (Darts for boosting Baton Pass rank, Billiards for Technícal Damage ranks, a shrine, a shop to sell dirty armor for cash and gain points to buy items, incense shop, Jazz Bar to gain ally SP & new skills for PT Personas on Sundays). New locations to take confidants include Shinagawa and Nakano. • Morgana will force you to sleep less, allowing you to do any actívities within Leblanc on most níghts. • You can now clean Leblanc for Kindness boost (+Sojiro's affinity). • Confidant bonuses have been adjusted: some skills have been replaced by others, some have been nerfed or changed otherwise. • Adjustments to social attríbute poínt distríbution at some locations. • Minor adjustments in when certain actívities become available/how those activities work. • Part-time jobs can now text you & pay at a higher rate than normal. • Movie invites are in the evenings rather than taking up daytime slots now. • Gifts can now be bought for male Confidants. • Music shop in underground mall has been replaced by an athletic store. • Crafting Ul has changed, allows you to select how many of an ítem you'd like to craft at once. • TV cannot be checked upstairs and will always prompt DVD watching now. • Time can be spent with Caroline & Justine, rewards are given for each event seen with them. GAMEPLAY/VELVET ROOM • Addítional Personas added to compendium. • Some Personas have adjusted Arcana, Affinities and Skills. • Some requirements have changed to advance Strength Confidant. • Personas now have Traíts/Characterístics, which can do thíngs such as half SP consumption or buff Phys attacks. They can be inherited/changed during fusion. Party member Personas have these traits as well, allowing for dífferent battle synergies based on their trafts. • Persona itemization no longer limited to once per day. • Changes to Network Fusion; it's still once per day, but the mechanics for it work a bit differently. • Challenge battles; these have conditions to increase score. Reaching score thresholds will gain offer rewards. • Changes to jailing Personas, now using incense can further strengthen Personas. • Fusion alerts can allow for stronger fusions, more skills inherited, etc, or stronger ítems gained during itemization at a cost of higher líkelihood of fusion accidents. Skills also have the ability to be changed randomly (like skill changes in P3). GAMEPLAY/METAVERSE • Palace layouts adjusted in varíous ways. Some are to accommodate new traversal methods. Many include shortcuts to shorten or skip puzzles, new puzzles to access new areas. Some puzzles are changed and made signíficantly easier. • New, stronger enemy types appear that will drop more exp/money/rarer items. • New areas in Palaces to find Ishi. There are three per Palace. Some SP will be restored upon finding them; gathering all three will grant an accessory that pertains to that Palace boss' sin. The item can be upgraded by visiting Jose in Mementos. • Ammo refreshes after every fight. • Bosses have been rebalanced, mechanics in some fights have been changed significantly, requiring dífferent strategies than the original game. • SP management is significantly easier as a result of Persona traits and easier access to SP restoratíve items. • Status effects have been adjusted; it's not possíble to farm Mementos bosses vía confuse trick or use Flu Season on the Reaper anymore. • Collecting stamps in Mementos will allow Jose to make cognitive changes, allowing for MUCH higher EXP/money/item gains. • Ryuji's insta-kill will give you the equivalent EXP/items/money as having gone into the fight properly, saving a ton of time. • Jose will also sell healing/sp items, and black weapons/armors/etc for use in fusions. • New Mementos requests; they go up to an S difficulty, some also have different win conditions than just defeating the Shadow. • Two new bonus bosses (that aren't DLC; there are DLC challenges, though). • Mementos music changes every couple of blocks, the original track only plays in the first two blocks. • Baton Pass is no longer tied to confidant rank and has specific boosts for each tíme you pass. • Showtime attacks! They're cute and also freebies that do a nice amount of damage. • Security meter starts at 40% every time you enter the Palace. • Negotiations are a bit easier to acquire Personas with now. • Changes to cover mechanic make cover easier to pull over, camera is more adjustable, allowing for easier movement and targeting.

Every social link story arc has a point where the character goes through some manner of rough time and needs their ol' pal Protagonist to set things right. They just have to hope it doesn't happen right before a new game mechanic gets unlocked, or else their problems are never getting solved.
