Chris the Lovable Jerk

George saw what had become of his beloved creation. It's characters butchered and killed off as afterthoughts, the story a nonsensical mess that is so incoherent the Transformers movies look like the films of Hitchcock in comparison, and the universe mutilated by talentless hacks for the sake of virtue signalling, and while there were beacons of hope, such as his old Padawan Filoni, he knew things looked grim.

He felt immense regret, yet he could handle it. He had trained himself to let go of the things he loved. He recalled his wife, who had cheated on him with a window guy, divorced him, took a sizable amount of his money and left him with a daughter to raise…she did all of that because he was busy seeing to the creation of Return of the Jedi and didn't want to sell the series to a corporation. And now he had, and it was just as bad as he knew it would be. Ironic.

He enjoyed the looks of horror and regret on the faces of those smug reviewers and 'fans' who had bashed him so. Now they were either trying to hide their guilt or begging for him to come back. He smiled and whispered their pleas with an amused 'No.'

The pain faded. He had a loving wife, and four loving children and many friends to spend his life with.

Such was the Bittersweet Tale of Lucas.
