Random Horse Nuzzles Me or Easy Now is a series of memes based on a YouTube comment that reads, "Me: I'm both a Sonic the hedgehog fan and also a Pokémon fan. | Random horse: Nuzzles me | Me: laughs Easy now." A screenshot of the comment started going viral on social media in June 2022 and became the further subject of memes over the following years, in which aspects of the comment are edited to reference new subjects. The comment was made by YouTuber izzyhinkle in 2018.

Origin

On March 26th, 2016, YouTuber^[1] YukénT uploaded the ending song from the movie Pokemon: Jirachi, Wish Maker, garnering over 149,000 views in nine years. In 2018, YouTube user @izzyhinkle posted a comment reading:

Me: I'm both a Sonic the hedgehog fan and also a Pokémon fan.
Random horse: Nuzzles me
Me: laughs Easy now.

On June 4th, 2022, u/z3lphire posted a screenshot showing the comment underneath the video, titling the post, "huhh??" to /r/youngpeopleyoutube,^[2] garnering over 13,000 upvotes in three years.

Spread

The comment garnered viral spread over the following years, inspiring further memes referencing it. For example, on March 31st, 2024, X^[3] user @ceriisu posted an altered version of the comment that references characters from Deltarune, garnering over 1,100 likes in a year. On June 9th, the original meme was reposted to /r/ComedyHell,^[4] garnering over 500 upvotes in the same rough span of time.

On February 4th, 2025, X^[5] user @sabatonfan69 posted a version of the meme that replaces "Pokemon fan" with "Republican," garnering over 3,200 likes in a month.
