Pretty based that Japanese bus drivers can do this at all. Something similar was tried where I live, but corrupt capitalists have a stronger grip here and simply made it illegal for bus drivers to not take payments in the intended way, making them pay a costly fine if they attempted anything of the sort, so they have to do the opposite and make sure everybody pays up no matter the current circumstances. Evasion is still high even in spite of this, but that one is on the passenger, not the driver, and that is also fined.

It's the ultimate strike since the company can't even rely on customer complaining about the lack of service.
