I have had to witness a kangaroo being put down with a rock after colliding with our car very much like what Rachel and Sarah had to do. Episode 3: >Prawn-Drawn Carriage is a reference to a BlG Christmas food over here: PRAWNS! I eat them almost every Christmas, great summer food. Yes we call them Prawns not bloody Shrimp. >Crocodiles are native to Australia. They're basically lowkey festivals/DJ sets in the middle of the bush which involve a lot of drug-taking and dancing. >Quadruple J is a reference to Triple J which is a popular publically funded youth radio station in Australia. Known internationally for their annual Hottest 100 song lists. They also are ad-free. >The two radio presenters look and sound a lot like Veronica and Lewis, 2 popular Triple J presenters. Although the girl very closely resembles Sally Coleman, the current breakfast host. This of course referencing the Indonesian island of Bali. This is a VERY popular holiday destination for Aussie tourists due to cheap airfares. It is known for its parties and cheap beer. If Sarah HAD landed on Planet Bali I imagine there would've been much binge drinking and drug-taking. Episode 7: >We call trucks, Utes, like Utility Vehicles. Ute Uncle Barry Cameo. Episode 8: >i don't know w-- a Chickengong is. >A sausage sizzle is what we call a barbegue when someone cooks sausages and puts them in bread. They're very common for fundraisers. Not too much region-specific humour in the first episode but I would like to point out that the interaction with Sarah's Dad and the cut-out newspaper article has happened to be more than once.
