honestly i’m willing to bet they cast buttercup as a black woman to get woke points without realizing if twitter’s gonna lose their shits over anything, it’s gonna be over why they chose buttercup of all characters to be the only poc amount the original 3 powerpuff girls. it’s like bob said, sooner or later twitter’s gonna realize they picked the most tomboyish and aggressive of the three girls to be black and call it racist.

My question is if they where all born in the same lab explosion, how did one of them end up black? Also why did they choose the Tomboy with anger issues to be a black?
They either did something rather racist, or would have retconned things to the point there is no reason to base the series off the Powerpuff girls, I hope the later, rather than the former.
