Pentagram Singer Bobby Liebling Staring During "The Ghoul," also known as Old Man Staring Wide-Eyed During Metal Concert, refers to a series of memes inspired by a viral video of Bobby Liebling, the lead singer of the doom metal band Pentagram, on stage, silently staring wide-eyed at the audience as his white hair is blown upward by a fan during a performance of their song "The Ghoul." On February 26th, 2025, TikToker[1] @rapper_holics posted a video from a Pentagram show at Brick by Brick in California that shows the lead singer, Bobby Liebling, performing "The Ghoul." In the video, he stares wide-eyed around the audience while the band plays, a fan blowing his hair upward. The video gained over 443,000 views in five days. The post's caption reads, "Got the chance to see Pentagram at Brick by Brick again the other night after probably ten years. You can always expect a badass show if they're on the bill."

The video was also posted to the user's Instagram[2] page, aloe_boa, garnering over 2.9 million likes in the same span of time.

Later that day, X[4] user @Myd0de quoted the post, writing, "He looks like he would be a villain in a regular show episode," garnering over 485,000 likes in three days.

On the night of February 27th, X[5] user @juneauxbaby quoted the post and said, "hit my pen too hard and this is scaring the fuck out of me," garnering over 59,000 likes in the same span of time.
