So Marvel slowly and steadily reduced the prominence of the X-Men while promoting lesser franchises like The Inhumans -- can you believe that?! -- in an attempt to make people stop caring about the X-Men. All the while, Marvel's management lied through their teeth to deny this was happening. But now Disney owns both Marvel and Fox, so the X-Men are back home where they belong and all is right inthe'world the fact that consolidetion entertainment business ensures that a select few gigantic conglomerates control the intellectual property rights of everything to ever exist, in perpetuity. But I'm sure that will be fine. for in the As Marvel Studios succeeded, Ike Perlmutter became very butthurt that Fox owned the X-Men rights.
