That results in a lot of death, and they need to keep the meat grinder back. So they need 30K men a month to just keep up with the losses, and it takes months for the wounded to recover to fight again (if they're not just send back to the front to die). The reported average casualty ratio is 3:1, which is pretty bad. Russians face horrific losses when they're on the offensive, but Ukraine also faces losses when they attack as well so it evens out to 3:1. Yeah should be reported and demilitarized to be used as trucks or farmland equipment, but the cynic in me wants this to not go reported so when there is an influx of war equipment later down the line it can be blamed to the funny russian president
