Michigan has gotten in trouble for affirmative action stuff recently CORNELL (ITHACA, NEW YORK) Another case of "I visited and liked the location so I applied" One of the top schools in the country, I almost certainly will get denied But if I get accepted I will drop everything and pay full price because the earnings potential after graduation is just so great With an Ivy League degree, I would never want for anything ever again CU BOULDER (BOULDER, COLORADO) Applied because I visited Colorado once and fell in love, otherwise I know absolutely nothing about the school They waitlisted me anyway so there's no use even further speculating UNIVERSITY OF PITTSBURGH (PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA) Since my stats outpace theirs, I've been offered a full ride plus $2,000 living stipend for three years Applied because I like the city of Pittsburgh, the school really isn't prestigious otherwise and there isn't much opportunity outside Pennsylvania Very generous offer but I would be practically condemning myself to a life. in Pittsburgh if I take it It's a pride issue, I know I can do better so I'm unsatisfied CASE WESTERN (CLEVELAND, OHIO) Within an hour's drive of my parents so I could live with them to save on housing expenses Moderately-ranked with a good International Law program, but they've made it very clear that they won't offer me a full ride Only downside is that it's aesthetically ugly and the inside looks like an old high school GEORGE MASON (WASHINGTON, DC) One of the 62636459585 law schools in the DC area, I applied because I want to practice international law and Mason has a good program for it Fun fact: aside from some small private Christian universities, it's the only openly-conservative law NEBRASKA (LINCOLN, Not at all highly ranked but one of my closest friends goes there and describes it as paradise on earth But it would definitely be the most expensive of all the schools so unless they offer me money, I won't go NEBRASKA) SCHOOL school I'm so frustrated by this process that my flight response is telling me to give up and get on a plane back to Europe Sporting, steaks, goodlooking and kind people, access to national parks, history....
