r/StarWars STAR WARS u/stephansbrick • 41 min I completed a full rewatch of the Skywalker Saga, this is my pure thoughts without recency bias or outside influence Movies The Prequels are hard to watch. Elements of it are good, compelling even, but was handled badly. The acting was bland and somehow made Samuel L. Jackson boring. I know it's intentional, but still. TPM I respect seeing how much of its labour are technical marvels and the efforts translated to the effects looking good even today. AOTC might be the most watchable of the three, fun and dynamic, the conversations are the best here, some comments even made me laugh. ROTS is awful, it has a cool opening, a very boring and straining middle, and a ridiculous final fight that went on for too long. The script calls for boring acting on another level, and relying on faux backgrounds seems to effect how they shot the film because it was on a level amateur-ish at times. Some people say that the idea of Star Wars is better than Star Wars, and for the prequels that is certainly true. Blah, blah, blah... If I were to rank them, here's how I'd do it: 1. TLJ 2. ESB 3.
