This is spot on. The only moment where I really "savescummed" in this game was when I was kinda forced to.

Started the game completely blind, going full intellect and motorics and pitiful physique. Woke up in my room. I saw my tie rotating on the fans and tried to pick it up. The DC is very easy but I manage to fuck it up anyway.

My detective jumps, and with this little effort has a heart attack, losing my one and only hitpoint. I died like 2 minutes into the game and had to remake a character, this time fat and healthy but dumb as a brick. 10/10 would do that again.
