The best programmer, who could write in any programming language, was a notorious womanizer and alcoholic. He only worked at night. But I can't recall a single problem he couldn't solve. There was also a great support engineer I knew who left to join a monastery and became a monk (yes, really). And a talented designer who didn't know how to organize files on his computer. He kept thousands of files in the root directory of his "C" drive. (Yes, files - this was before Figma existed.) I could count on these people in the most difficult situations. Working with them was easy. The takeaway: You can't change a grown person. You can't change their character or bad habits.
