@ SonicLover as much as I have to say I like Homestuck, I have to say that this reminds me more of alchemy. I don't know much about it, but I recognize some of those symbols from the flash game "codex of alchemical engineering" and a Nancy Drew game that had a mystery featuring alchemy.
