I can think of something worse.

Try this on for size: Peter Parker dies and Doc Ock takes over his body, supposedly to do "good". He ends up blowing a man's brains out on live television and he erases Peter's memories from his mind. And considering that this is a part of the Marvel NOW brand, this is apparently written with the intention to draw more people into reading Spider-Man.
